No, it's not a tasting event involving wine and pickles ...
But as wine tasting events go, this is another of those deliciously worthy events, benefiting our community's tiniest members.
Ickle Pickles is a charity which raises funds to purchase equipment vital to the survival of ill and/or premature infants. Ickle Pickles seeks to fill the gap in NHS funding, providing incubators, ventilators, and other key pieces of equipment in Neonatal Units.
Tuesday November 1st, 8pm £20 per person
If chocolate and wine are something of a regular indulgence for you, there's never been a better reason to indulge! 2Water Wine Charity, which funds the building of clean water wells in Sub-Saharan Africa and Nepal through charity wine tasting events, will be teaming up with fine chocolatier Brix and The Wine Tasting Shop for a fantastic evening!
There will be a raffle of chocolate goodies, and proceeds are for a GREAT cause.
Now you can give your indulgence a greater purpose, how delicious is that?!?!

Starting next Monday 19th September I'm starting the Wine Tasting Shop Running Club.
Monday nights 7-7:30pm we will run 30 minutes for beginners or any one who can run 20 minutes
Don't worry, this isn't an Iron Man event, more of a healthy social evening with lots of tips and encouragement. Beginners will soon progress to the Tuesday night runs for more experienced runners...
Tuesday 20th September, a 7:00pm start. 10km run. Again, quite social but the aim is to do Tempo runs as a group, and to improve your 10km practice runs.
Had a fantastic time in the Languedoc!
Lots of chilling out with the family ; but still had time to visit some amazing vineyards in the
Montpeyroux area of the Languedoc. Alain Chabanon showed me round his vineyard and cool
winery without a temperature controlled panel in sight! There are egg shaped concrete vats and
the odd barrel just full of a vintage he is still ruminating about what to do with.
The Trelans 2007 tasted as good as I remembered and I realised that Alain is making Right bank

We will be taking time to source more amazing wines, and have a bit of fun in

A mini-tasting at The Wine Tasting Shop - the perfect way to start your evening out!
Yes...Sunday food and fare comes to Hildreth Street this weekend - 19 June - courtesy of organisers, Venn Street Market. Bringing with it, there'll be delicious artisan food and fare from 11am to 5pm. And of course, Hildreth Street's own Wine Tasting Shop, will be taking to the street, with an outside stall, offering samples of finest wines at 50p per shot.
Florian Perate from Terroir in Covent Garden will be here in Balham showing a range of exciting Natural wines from Italy and France.
From 1pm to 5pm you have the chance to see and try a range of very different wines totally sulphur free! These wines are produced without any cultured yeasts and absolutely nothing
added during fermentation.
Come along and try them for free and listen to the fascinating story each wine has to tell.
